
This course teaches initial assessment, EMS activation, assessment of responsiveness, bleeding, burns, shock, illness warning signs, injury assessment, heat and cold related emergencies and specific body injuries.
This course teaches chain of survival, activation of EMS, emergency response, understanding what CPR is and a hands-on skill check of CPR and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction. This course also discusses adult information on heart attacks and strokes as well as specific childhood injuries. Infant and adult mannequins are used.
This training program is designed specifically for adults in the workplace and is a combination of CPR, AED, and basic first aid training. This program is designed specifically to arm laypersons with the minimum knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency care for suddenly ill or injured adults during the usually brief interval between the incident and arrival of emergency medical care professionals. Expanded information on bloodborn pathogens and emergency oxygen administration is included to enhance knowledge and understanding of these two important and related emergency care topics.

The goal of the CPR PRO course is to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective basic life support in an emergency. Course content includes infant, child and adult CPR modules, two-rescuer CPR, Bag Valve Mask, defibrillation and more. This course contains the required curriculum for, among others, Lifeguards, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Nurses, CNAs and Doctors. (The CPR for Professional Rescuer is accepted by the Virginia Office of E.M.S. to meet these standards for First Responder, EMT-B, EMT-E, EMT-I, EMT-P) Approved for the National Ski Patrol – OEC
This course meets OSHA 29 CFR regulations. We focus on bloodborn diseases, the use of personal protective equipment and the requirements of an exposure control plan.
This program stresses the priority to keep you and the children you care for safe. But being responsible for their safety and well being. When you are caring for a child, you are taking care of a parent’s most prized possession. Everything in their home and your own home can be replaced— everything, that is, except a child. This program is 5 hours long.
In this 40 hour course you will learn to asses a patient and determine what medical care is necessary. This level of First Aid training is a minimum requirement for all Police and Fire Departments. You will be certified through the ECSI Health Care Provider level 2005 AHA Guidelines. Class includes a book, practical materials and exam. Upon successful completion of the course you will receive a course completion card valid for (3) years.
